A classic grape variety, French in origin, with subtle oak fruit driven. Abundance of plums, cherry and currant flavours and aromas. Soft tannins.
Merlot is a wine ideal with food especially with Any veal or light beef dish & pizza.
The Merlot grapes were machine harvested and fermented warm with an added yeast in stainless steel fermenters before being pressed. After pressing, the wine matured on a mix of French and American oak for a period of about 10 months before final blending, fining and filtration.
