Crimson in colour with a purple hue, this beautifully crafted Chambourcin exhibits aromas of vibrant berry fruit with subtle toasty oak. The palate is medium bodied with intense fruit, fine tannins and is suitable for early drinking or will cellar for several years.
Chambourcin is a wine ideal with food especially with duck, game or spicy foods.
Sourced from the Mt Eyre vineyard, the wine was harvested at 14 baume, fermented in stainless steel tanks and hand plunged in open fermenters to extract the rich red colour from the skins. It was pressed and when fermented to dryness it was matured in two and three year old French oak barrels before bottling.
